I can scrape off the / dirt / And shine like chrome

thirteen thirty-seven

I can scrape off the dirt And shine like chrome but I still feel the spit in my ear burning in my ear like the words I wanted you to say

the words I always want you to say.

I like you -broken, dirty, off-kilter, strong and angry.

It’s not what I deserve. It’s what I am, No matter how good I am at making them think I’m something else entirely.

Let’s make the paint peel, cry fuck and blister the ears of those who made us this. Of those who made us burn.
